A message from Steve our Rector

April, a word derived from the Latin aperire, meaning "to open," perfectly captures the spirit of this month. As buds unfurl, blossoms emerge, and the earth seems to exhale after winter’s hold, April reminds us of the beauty and renewal that lies in waiting. It is a month of fresh starts, where nature itself invites us to be participants in the promise of growth and hope.

In the Christian calendar, April often coincides with the joyous celebration of Easter, the pinnacle of renewal and resurrection. At Easter, we are reminded of God’s immeasurable love and the hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Just as the flowers bloom anew in April, so too does Easter speak of a life eternal, unburdened by the weight of sin or the sting of death. It’s a time to rejoice in the victory of love over despair, of light over darkness.

As we gather to celebrate this sacred season, let us also look forward to the coming months together. Whether it’s through shared worship, community events, or quiet moments of fellowship, we have the privilege of walking hand in hand through the year ahead. April inspires us to embrace each new opportunity, and Easter reminds us of the steadfast hope that we carry in our hearts.

Let this spring be a start for renewed connections within our parish. We invite you to join us in the joyful work of community—whether it’s through upcoming services, outreach, or simply sharing a cup of tea. together, let us bloom in faith, hope, and love, and let us look forward with eager hearts to what God has in store for us in the next twelve months. All are welcome to journey with us.

Steve
