Welcome

A Message from Steve, our Rector

Hello and a warm summer welcome to St Nicholas Church, Bradwell.

Whether you’ve lived here for years or you’ve only just found us online, I’m really glad you’re here. St Nicholas isn’t just a building on the hill. It’s a community of people trying to follow Jesus together, with all the laughter, questions, sunny days, and quiet moments of prayer that come with real life and real faith.

Summer has a way of reminding us that God’s world is full of colour and generosity, and we want our church to feel the same. You don’t need to have everything sorted. You don’t need to be certain about what you believe. Bring your hopes, your doubts, your joys, and the things that weigh heavy. There’s room for all of it, and there’s room for you.

Life here doesn’t begin and end on a Sunday. Through the week you’ll find friendship, conversation, practical help, and someone who’ll listen. The churchyard is alive with birdsong and community projects. The building is open for anyone who needs a moment of stillness. We’re here for Bradwell every day, and we’d love you to be part of it.

If you’re exploring faith, looking for connection, or simply wanting to meet good people, you’re warmly invited to join us. Come as you are. There’s a place for you at the table.

With every blessing

Rev Steve Deall Rector, St Nicholas Bradwell

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is at the heart of our Christian faith.

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Mr Ivan Lees 01493 443012, the rector Rev Steve Deall 01493 663219 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Sue Brice 01603 882345 .

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
